Start practice, allow microphone access, and follow the four-beat count-in. There are eight scored beats in each round.
Say /B/, /T/, or /K/ as each marker meets the fixed line. Use your normal voice. End the sound between beats; holding a sound earns only one detection.
The game keeps a trace of matched, missed, and extra events. Rounds repeat with two preparation beats between them. End session opens the complete review.
Timing window: up to 180 ms early or 140 ms late. “On time” means within 60 ms either side of the beat. The microphone detects sound events, not words or correct phonemes. Nearby sounds can also register.
Use a quiet space. Beat sound is off by default; use headphones when enabling it. Pausing keeps completed beats and excludes unplayed targets. Resume begins a new round.
Choose Timing + pitch to use “ba”, “ta”, or “ka”. Higher markers call for a higher vocal pitch; volume does not control height. The glowing point shows estimated pitch and dims when no reliable pitch is detected. Release between syllables. Each marker’s vertical region is its pitch tolerance.
Choose a preset, repeat a Random pattern, or design eight heights with Custom. Set voice range to capture a comfortable middle, lower, and higher pitch, or enter them. Range width and pitch tolerance are independent. Timing and pitch results are reported separately.
Increase for quieter sounds. Decrease when background sounds register. This does not change the timing window.
Changes to sound, tempo, or beat sound apply to the next round after resuming. All settings are stored only in this browser. Session results contain timing data, never recordings.
Misses stay in the total
Mean absolute timing error
Matched consecutive intervals
| Beat | Result | Timing offset |
|---|
Negative offset = early. Positive offset = late. Alignment uses matched beats only; misses are counted separately. Spacing is the RMS interval error between adjacent matched beats with no extra sound between them. Gaps, pauses, and unplayed targets are excluded. Device delay is not automatically removed.
Pitch uses the first reliable voiced portion within 300 ms of each matched sound. At least three stable estimates are needed. A missing or unreliable pitch is not scored as wrong. No later target-matching search is used. One semitone = 100 cents. Pitch estimation does not verify syllables or remove device delay.
The latest session is stored in this browser. No audio is stored or transmitted.
Say a comfortable “ah” to capture your middle, lower, and higher pitches. Do not push for extremes. You can also enter the values directly.
Hold each “ah” briefly until captured. Pitch capture does not adjust timing scores. Audio is processed only on this device and is not recorded. The selected range stays fixed during a round.
Tap or drag each marker up or down. Use the arrow keys on a selected beat. Timing stays evenly spaced.
Five heights inside your selected range. The pattern repeats until you change it. Saving replaces the custom pattern stored in this browser.
